WHY CHOOSE FFCB?

Originally, as the Fertility Center of California, but now as the Family Fertility CryoBank (FFCB), FFCB was one of the first centers for the freezing and storage of reproductive tissues on the west coast. Our current fertility center locations are in San Diego and Orange County but we have the ability to securely ship specimens around the world. Our state-of-the-art laboratory uses the most advanced medical technology available and has top-notch security measures in place to ensure the safety of our clients’ reproductive futures.

Laboratory Security

The laboratory has a biometric entry system using finger-print scanning technology which provides access only to qualified laboratory scientists and physicians. The laboratory is also outfitted with motion detector alarms and monitored under 24 hour surveillance for added protection.

Monitoring Cryopreservation Equipment

The safety and security of patients’ reproductive tissue is our number one priority. All of our storage tanks are inspected daily and replenished with liquid nitrogen to make sure they are in the best condition possible. The storage tanks operate independently of electricity, therefore power outages will have no effect on the safety of cryopreserved sperm, eggs, embryos and tissue.
Alarms on our storage tanks alert us of any temperature fluctuations to prevent the tanks from even coming close to temperatures outside of the optimal range for cryopreservation. Staff is on call 24 hours a day in case of an emergency in our laboratory (though there has never been one).

State-of-the-art Technology

We use state-of-the-art cryopreservation technology including 100% vapor-phase storage techniques which eliminates any possibility of infectious disease transfer that might be possible with liquid phase tanks. This technology is completely independent of electricity and around-the-clock monitoring provides the highest possible degree of safety. We use the most advanced freezing and thawing technology to give our clients the best possible chance of getting pregnant in the future.

Diverse Reproductive Services

FFCB is the sister company to a male fertility practice, an andrology lab, an anonymous donor sperm bank, and a fertility clinic. Not only does this afford patients less stress in pursuing treatment with their cryopreserved materials, but it means that the FFCB team are well versed in the fertility world and are able to help in many different aspects.
